Cassie Rossman Finished the 2012 Westminster Blue Jay Women's Soccer Season

2012 Nov 12

Cassie Rossman from Sheridan, Indiana has completed the 2012 Women's Soccer season at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.

Rossman, a Junior at Westminster, played this season as a Goal Keeper.

Before coming to Westminster, Rossman attended Sheridan High School.

The Westminster Blue Jays were led this season by Head Coach Jen Dyson and Assistant Coach Bill Killen. The Blue Jays finished their season 4-12 overall and 3-5 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). The Westminster women's soccer team received the SLIAC Sportsmanship Award. The Sportsmanship Award is given to the team whose players, coaches and fans exhibit the principles of good sportsmanship.

Westminster College values the student-athlete experience and the life-long lessons they learn each day --- some learned inside the classroom, while other skills and lessons are learned on the courts where these student-athletes compete. As President Barney Forsythe says, "Leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, a commitment to excellence and a will to win, all lead to a life of success after graduation." Every day at Westminster is a day to appreciate, reward and recognize our student-athletes for excelling in the classroom, on the field and within their communities.
