Jan Michael Ramirez Inducted Into International English Honorary Society

Jan Michael Ramirez from Makati City, The Philippines, was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honorary Society on the Westminster College campus this spring.

Ramirez is a Senior, who is majoring in English/Business Administration .

Founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University, Sigma Tau Delta is an international honorary society for those who have reached high achievement in English language and literature in their undergraduate, graduate and professional studies.

Through its local chapters, Sigma Tau Delta promotes excellence in the disciplines of the English language and fosters literacy by providing cultural stimulation on college campuses and promoting an interest in literature and the English language in surrounding communities.

Today Sigma Tau Delta has over 850 active chapters located in the United States and abroad with more than 1,000 faculty advisors. Approximately 9,000 members are inducted annually.
