Liridona Osmanaj Honored by Westminster College

Liridona Osmanaj, from Gjakove, Kosovo, was one of a select group of students recognized for academic achievement, service and organization leadership at the annual Honors & Awards Program held at Westminster College in Fulton, MO.

She received the Vernon W. Piper Scholarship, a financial stipend established at the Westminster Churchill Library by Vernon W. and Marian K. Piper to help students study abroad in Europe.

"I am very happy and thrilled to receive this award which will allow me the opportunity to study in England," says Osmanaj. "My time at Westminster has been filled with much adventure, life-long lessons and personal discovery."

Osmanaj is a Sophomore, majoring in International Studies and Political Science at Westminster.

Over 20 different scholarships, fellowships, and awards were given at the ceremony held in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury on campus.

Westminster President Dr. George B. Forsythe delivered welcoming and closing remarks and Dr. Stephanie Krauth, Vice President of the College and Dean of Student Life, spoke about the importance of recognizing student achievements.

The Honors & Awards Program is sponsored by the Emerson Center for Leadership & Service and the Westminster Office of Student Life.
